metal is too soft

I'm ordering a new one - frankly however, while the aluminum spike is ideal from the perspective of metallurgy, it does not hold up under strong winds that buffet the tent. I've had to hammer/straighten the spike a few times. Suggest you offer a thicker spike as an option. It's getting darn near impossible to sleeve the center spike assembly together, and nearly impossible to perfectly straighten the spike.

Great to have a new spike but no one will answer me about whether or not I will ever be able to get a replacement pole. They are currently stuck together, as one bent. So not sure if the spike will even be useful.
